2022 D4TS Tourette Syndrome Scholarship Recipients
The 2022 Dollars 4 Tic Scholars TS Superstar Tourette Syndrome Scholarship – $2000
Awarded to Jeremy Albergo, Longport, NJ
The third annual TS Superstar Scholarship recognizes a student who has spread awareness of Tourette Syndrome in his community. This fall, Jeremy will be a freshman at Rutgers University, in Piscataway, NJ. He is majoring in Political Science/International Studies with plans to attend law school. Jeremy was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome at age 12.
The 2022 Dollars 4 Tic Scholars Tourette Syndrome Scholarship sponsored by the Brad Cohen Tourette Foundation – $1000
Awarded to Alyssa Ram, Needham, MA
Alyssa will be a junior at University of Colorado, Boulder this fall. She is majoring in Neurosciences and hopes to work with children with special needs. She will go to medical school to become a neurologist with a research interest in movement disorders. She was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome at age seven.
The 2022 Renewable Dollars 4 Tic Scholars Tourette Syndrome Scholarship – $1500
Awarded to Elliot C. Kinney, York, PA
Elliot graduated from West York Area High School. He will attend Chapman University in Orange, CA as an incoming freshman. He will major in Writing for Film and Television and hopes to become a screenwriter. Elliot was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome at age eight.
The 2022 Renewable Dollars 4 Tic Scholars Tourette Syndrome Scholarship – $1500
Awarded to Quintin Utterback, Oakland, MD
Quintin graduated from Southern Garrett High School. He will attend Hamilton College in Clinton, NY as an incoming freshman. Quintin will double major in Sociology/Psychology and plans to become a researcher, professor or public policy analyst. He was diagnosed with Chronic Tic Disorder at age 13.
The 2022 Renewable Dollars 4 Tic Scholars Tourette Syndrome Scholarship – $1000
Awarded to Bryce Lloyd, Lutherville, MD
Bryce graduated from Gilman High School. As a freshman this fall, he will attend Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, majoring in Chemical Engineering. He was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome at age six.
The 2022 Renewable Dollars 4 Tic Scholars Tourette Syndrome Scholarship – $1000
Awarded to Caden Wilkerson, Cordova, TN
Caden is a graduate of Homelife Academy. He will major in Commercial Music as an incoming freshman at Union University, Jackson, TN. He looks forward to being a musical artist who shares a positive message and brings people to Christ. Caden was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome at age 17.
The 2022 Renewable Dollars 4 Tic Scholars Tourette Syndrome Scholarship – $1500
Awarded to Taylore Ashton, Brady, TX
Taylore is a fourth-year recipient and is entering her last semester as a senior at Texas Tech University in this fall. Taylore is majoring in Animal Science. Her goal is to work with horses and become an Equine Specialist. Taylore was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome at age 15.
The 2022 Renewable Dollars 4 Tic Scholars Tourette Syndrome Scholarship – $1500
Awarded to Virginia Williams, Copley, OH
This is Virginia’s second year as a recipient of a D4TS Scholarship! She will be a sophomore at Grove City College in Grove City, Pennsylvania. Virginia is majoring in Biology. She has been very active in various groups and taken on leadership roles and helped to spread the word about mental illness. She was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome in 5th grade.
The 2022 Renewable Dollars 4 Tic Scholars Tourette Syndrome Scholarship – $1000
Awarded to Maxwell Plenby, West Hartford, CT
Maxwell is a second time D4TS Scholarship recipient. He will be a sophomore at Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York this fall. Max is majoring in Political Science. He hopes to become a civil rights lawyer. Max was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome at age 6.
The 2022 Renewable Dollars 4 Tic Scholars Tourette Syndrome Scholarship – $1000
Awarded to Hayden Bell, Lyndhurst, OH
Hayden is a second time D4TS Scholarship recipient. He will be a sophomore at John Carroll University in Ohio. Hayden is majoring in Biology on the pre-med track with a minor in Spanish and Hispanic Studies. His goal is to become a doctor. He was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome at age 10.
